“Bold” is the perfect way to summarize the memorable and exciting music video for “Know Your Name.” Lambert and I agreed to deem it a “nerdy” take on Taylor Swift’s girl gang anthem, “Bad Blood,” but Lambert’s is telling a story of Crush At First Sight, not a girl-on-girl cat fight.
“Know Your Name” is a dance-infused bop and if you’re wondering why everyone in the video looks like they’re having the best time ever, it’s because they are — they’re all friends IRL.

Sara Ramirez is part of the lineup for the the 6th annual Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays benefit concert on Saturday, December 3 at New York City’s historic Beacon Theatre in support of the True Colors Fund’s work to end homelessness among lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youth.
For the past five years, this concert has played to sold out audiences of over 2,800 each year and welcomed performers like P!nk, Sarah McLachlan, Josh Groban, Jason Mraz, 50 Cent, Boy George, Natalie Maines, Nelly Furtado, Natasha Bedingfield, Rosie O’Donnell, Adam Lambert, Norah Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, Susan Sarandon, Lou Reed, Alan Cumming, Wanda Sykes, and many more. Home for the Holidays has quickly become the signature event for Cyndi’s True Colors Fund and provides a significant source of funding towards fulfilling the organization’s mission.

On 25 September, Ramirez attended the Pasadena Peace and Unity Fest in California.
The fest is to raise awareness of the violence in Northwest Pasadena and to peacefully bring together the community through music and spoken word.
A performance by Maya Jupiter was among many of the day. Ramirez joined friend, Jupiter, on stage as she performed I Am.
